What a blessing this year was! We started slow due to the real estate market rebounding, but, we ended on a high note! We just kept putting one foot in front of the other - and kept moving forward!
With that being said, see below for some of our family and firm highlights:
Took some time off after Hurricane Milton to help clean up areas of Tampa - primarily, led a team of four (4) guys with chainsaws and trucks and we removed trees on roofs, on houses, in yards, in driveways for around 20 community members and small businesses. We didn't take a dime.
Successfully defended a client falsely accused of criminal hit-and-run.
Helped formed several businesses, a number of which are business-as-mission companies doing work for Jesus.
Helped form a Christian Business Directory company whose goal is to connect businessmen and woman by connecting churches.
Helped a number of widows through estate probates, defense foreclosure proceedings and secured non-profit funds to assist a widow.
Successful criminal defense representation of a number of individuals across a few different misdemeanors and felonies.
Continued representation of a newly-founded venture capitalist fund investing in Christian businesses-as-missions at seed or series-A stage - and finalized three investments.
Took on the pro-bono defense of a book publisher against 18 plaintiffs.
Organized a number of church events for my local church.
Continued to walk with some homeless people around the community and assisted in housing and medical matters.
Through our family non-profit, we helped financially bless people who recently became unemployed, helped a young mother provide, meals for those who were bedridden, continued sponsoring three (3) children through Children International; donations to human trafficking organizations; donations to hurricane relief efforts and the list goes on.
Continued to help expunge criminal records.
Expanded business as outside, fractional general counsel-esque role with a large, multi-state landlord.
Worked on around $150-$200 million in commercial real estate transactions - leasing, sales, acquisitions, refinances, partnership restructures, construction, etc.
We're off to a fast start in 2025, with a number of deals in the mix!
There are two new additions coming to Harrington Law in 2025. First, we are adding Immigration Law as a practice area. We have seen a lot of injustices taking place in this area. We want to serve those in need.
Finally, my family is expanding by one: another beautiful baby girl named Sofia will enter this world around June 2, 2025. We are so excited! We can't wait to love and kiss this little girl! Paisley, turned three in November 2024, and she is just growing and learning so quickly - and she has now joined dance classes. She has her first recital in June!!! And, as always, my wife has been integral in the running of this law practice - I thank her often for giving me the room to run!
We can't see around the corner of 2025. But, we know there is goodness - the Heavenly Fahter's goodness - around each bend. We look forward to this year with joyous hope as we remain faithful to the calling the Lord Jesus has put before us!
With Love,
The Harringtons
